NW ILLINOIS
That is the way it's designed. Put corn or pellets in it and
let it burn. We've been a dealer for almost 30 years.
Great stove.
If you are burning corn, it helps to add some wood pellets
to reduce or eliminate buildup on the stirrer. Common problem.
Corn variety, moisture, cleanness etc can have a effect on buildup.
Before you start it up remove the brick board carefully and
get familiar with the two clean out holes behind this board.
Lots of people did not know (read manual) these were there and
had problems with their stove burning properly. A fire place vac
is a must!!!!!!!!
We usually gave our stoves a through cleaning once per week.
Sometimes twice if we were running them hard.
Let me know if you have any more questions / concerns!
Always happy to help.
