Your wife was able to overcome many producers biggest issue. Farmers are married to their crop and are rather poor at looking at in-season crop prospects realistically. It adds up to always believing the crop isn’t there and price should go higher. It’s why the USDA or grain companies or traders are always out to get them. Advisors biggest push is to fight that thought process. So it makes them seem to be practically always bearish. Advisors are as much psychologists as anything.
