So in the peat soil is the row unit going to deep causing these issues? I know you said control depth with toolbar, but would this be like a planter in peat, where you need to run a down pressure system that can have negative force. The stubble in peat won't cut but can be moved very easily. Also are you running a chopping head to size the stalks prior?

In the case of the Redball it isn't going too deep, it just starts pushing. The gauge wheels are just little cultivator wheels, even smaller than planter gauge wheels.

The Pluribus has the gauge wheels at the back and I have tires on the toolbar to set the height. It just pushed or doesn't flow the residue.

I do not have a chopping head, but it will wrap up in bean residue too.
