who pays for lime?

it saw a lime truck? When did the tenant take it over? If I owned the land and let it get 3 ton behind on lime
while I was farming it, I'd be embarrassed to ask top rent for it and then expect a new tenant to bring it up to
soil test. If they run it down to where it needs 3 ton, then they should pay for it. JMHO


When I apply lime it has always been 3T/acre when soil tests call for lime. On average I lime about every 8 years but that varies with the tests. Also varies with fields that were coc for years as lime is needed more often. Have never let fields get to where test show 3T/acre is needed. Current test on one field that was gridded shows an average of 1 1/2 ton needed with areas of none and areas of 2 would be an example. This field was just limed 6 years ago with 3 ton.
