The connectors that KRK shows can be very handy for troubleshooting. These connectors are the current style that Raven has used in recent times on the bar itself where the harness connects to a Standard Control or Fast Close Valve, Standard ON/OFF valve and flow meter.

Older systems might have different connectors for the valves.

With a standard two valve system all three branches are used. With a Fast Close single valve system, the first branch is not used but might still be present.

Notice in the Control connector that there are Power, Ground, Increase and Decrease pins. All are used with a Fast Close valve. The Power and Ground pins provide the power for the driver board inside the Fast Close valve and would ultimately provide power/ground to turn the motor. The Increase and decrease pins form a pair that act as inputs to the driver board informing it to provide the Power/Ground of the correct polarity to turn the motor.

With a Standard control valve, this style of connector could still be used but the power pin would not have a mate since the Increase/Decrease pair can run its motor directly without the need for a driver board. The driver board is not necessary since in a standard valve, a gearbox reduces the speed and torque necessary to turn the ball slowly.
