Where we do not make "sweet" deserts I do not enjoy the ice cream as much as I thought I would. We have a desert almost every night but it is always "low carb" with no artificial sweetners (no more than 5 grams carbs, usually less). I tend to enjoy her non-frozen deserts as much or a little more than when she makes a version of ice cream with them. So I do not encourage her to use the machine as much as we could. I think if we would add a little more sugar for taste I would really like it. However one of the hardest things for me to kick when we changed our diet was my sugar and sweet taste addiction (giving up Diet Dr Pepper and Diet Pepsi was the hardest and last thing I did in our transition). So for the sake of my blood sugar and overall health, I don't want to go back down that path of addiction now that I no longer have those cravings.
But I bet your machine would be the cats meow.
