Manitoba | Sounds similar to what happened to me a year and a half ago, at age 76. I was walking on a hard crust of snow, when suddenly one foot broke through and went down. I was sore but got around. After a week or so, it got worse to where I needed to use crutches. After a week or so on crutches, it started to get better on it's own with me being careful not to jar it or twist it. Doctor said the MRI showed a torn meniscus but he did not recommend surgery as long as it kept improving. He said it could take a year to two years to heal completely. It doesn't bother me now and I go for a walk 3 or 4 miles almost every day. | |
