Central Illinois | I was 37 (20 years ago) when my meniscus tore. General practitioner told me I could live with it. NOT! My knee would lock up if bent past 90 degrees. I tore it in July but waited (due to GP DR advice) until after harvest to have laparoscopic surgery in November. I used crutches for a week or 2. I have not had trouble since. Get the surgery as soon as possible because without regular use you lose muscle mass and strength. Prayers for your healing.
