Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Later edit: I got it figured out I think. It appears my confusion was due to opening the picture on the office computer which was evoking the Photos app.
Here's what seems to work: Navigate to the picture file by using Explorer to go into the iPhone device and then through the internal storage folder, DCIM, date folder and finally to the picture in question and then do a Control-C on that file. Then navigate to where you want the picture file to live on the office computer and do a Control-V there. The picture file is then copied to a folder of your choice on the office computer.
Selecting multiple pictures (files) is possible by copying an entire subfolder or by selectively using Shift or Control to select just the desired pictures (files) before doing the Control-C. then navigate to the desired location on the other drive and use Control-V to paste these pictures in the other location.
