I'll write a small card with that instruction, and put it beside the computer for MY reference as well as others.
The same 'hear but not see' scenario happened to me, and I told the flks "Hang on a few seconds!", went into settings --etc etc - clicked 'duplicate screen' - went back in -all OK. Maybe 20 seconds. But Windows P - too easy.
