Western Illinois | I think the type of drought we are having now in Mayand early June is harder on a crop than say one in July or August. Plants aren’t as big. Soil has more of a chance to dry out faster because it is less shaded. The longer that large areas of the I states go without measurable rainfall, the more likely we are to have a less than trendline yield. I believe we about two weeks away from seeing that less than trendline yield already. Time will tell. | |
