Boone Co. Iowa
Thanks for that update. Talked to an agronomist who covers huge area of Iowa and parts of Nebraska and Missouri.....I hadn't planted a lick and he figured 35-40% of his corn and 25-33% of his beans got planted in that early window ...he was nervous and anxious about stuff in the ground....really nothing major materialized, by most of that was south of HWY 30....

Thanks again for sharing.

Starting to wonder about the germ these seed companies put out....my planter with seed tubes is making it pretty obvious if the germ on this corn is good/ok/great/crap. Folks that have major acres and push planting windows might really start to look at the corn germ.....

Not much point in having great precision planter if the corn has a problem germinating.....granted conditions and temps have a say, but so do farmers who buy seed.....I would pay a little extra if the germ score was higher....
