Take your cows into consideration as well. We’ve got some Red Angus that stay in wonderful condition on grass hay (borderline too fat really) and some Herefords that aren’t far behind. Then we’ve got some dairy cross beef that need fat tubs or alfalfa to stay in decent condition.
