We had very good moisture this winter with little frost so subsoil should be in good shape, but it has not rained now in several weeks any appreciable amount, lawns look like they do in July. Many guys making first crop because of the good haying weather, but certainly are giving up a lot of yield, don't think I have ever seen so few round bales on many of these fields even much less then for normal 2nd crop, light even for third IMO, think they jumped the gun a bit.
This is exactly what is going on here. I thought things would be halfway normal with all the moisture this past winter but with the hot temps and no rain in sight… it might turn ugly real soon |
