FDA requires a valid vet client relationship. What that is seems to vary from clinic to clinic. The high priced clinic locally has been pushing a once a year visit. They had to get out of large animal because they lost most of their customers.

This is the reason, and all the while vet practices around here are dropping their large animal practices, how are we as farmers supposed to maintain a "relationship" with a vet when there are less all the time? I know of guys now when a cow is sick they ship her rather then call the vet. Dairy farmers cannot get dry cow treatments without a valid "relationship" really!!!! that being said there are those who reach for the antibiotics to treat things that antibiotics are not needed for or can't cure, but look at the price everyone pays for this one size fits all policy.
