SW Minnesota | I have never understood these posts. Manure is an important part of the package. It adds to the the small bottom line of Custom feeding or a slightly bigger but risker margin of owned livestock. I get fertilizer prices every because I have to buy a little, My Manure gets tested by two different Labs. It is all custom applied I know what application costs because I writ the check out. The only thing the check doesn't cover is the use of my two pump tractors and some fuel that I furnish, The Manure is always worth more than that, Garvo is pretty smart guy but I don't understand how he can put so much cost on manure hauling.
But with all that said The Manure margin isn't big enough to save a crappy livestock or justify building a new hog barn for custom feeding. | |
