Sounds like you have residual pressure in the line that has the Manual Override sensor on it. Its a pressure switch and your override value is basically telling the system how many volts it needs to see before disengaging the steering. When you turn the steering wheel, there is normally a pressure signal sent down the load sense line for the orbital that is used to trigger the manual override message, but this pressure then needs to dissipate before the sensor will drop back below the cutout threshold value allowing you to re-engage. You may just need to stop turning the wheel sooner and give it a second or so before engaging, or possibly your sensor is on the way out?
