39.48, -82.98
Through Earth's history, CO2 -- and temperature -- have been all over the board. Our best record over the last 850,000 years comes from ice cores and reveal a range from 160 to 270 ppm. When I first started writing on AgTalk about this issue, it was 370 ppm. Today, it is 420 ppm. Earth hasn't seen this concentration since the mid-Pliocene, when global temperature was 2 to 4 C above our pre-industrial level.
