Hooker Twp,Ne | Same age you are. Don’t like heat and humidity either. However if I have a good breeze I can tolerate it. Remember in my younger years I would tell gpa to put some ice cubes in the water when we went out square baling. His answer NO. Never drink water colder then well water when it’s hot else you’ll get sick. He would put a glass jug with well water in a gunny sack and make the sack wet. Place it in the twine box. That’s what we would drink. Wind,shade,some rest and plenty of water. By the way, when I get asked my age this year, I tell them it’s a good position to be in. Sure do get some grins from the women folk. | |
