| Russ I've seen my share of froze up baby calves. Mostly before we started keeping the bulls penned up until after July 15. The ears freeze first, then the tails, and then back feet. If the feet are froze the chances of saving them is poor although my wife saved one with massage one time. Even the frozen ears calves don't seem to reach the potential they would have if not cold stressed. I've kept for breeding no ear heifers because it isn't their fault. They never make top cows. When the buyers discount froze up cattle there is a reason.
