The real truth,,the women were not like the ones at the bar in Gunsmoke.I had an professor in college that told of researching historical issues with women/men of pioneer days.Disease filled,toothless,odorific.No running water and places near zero water.No toilet paper.Alcoholic and drug addicted(opium) was very standard.They were as tough as the men or more so and likely as ugly and smelly...
