WC MN | Looks like the SE 1/4 of ND got an inch of rain with spots up to 2". Another 1-2" of rain forecast for the end of this week. A lot of the states corn is grown in that area. Less than 20 days away from corn insurance deadline for corn in most of those counties. If that forecast comes true it will be less likely for a nearly 800k corn acre increase in ND with cash prices $2 less than a year ago.
Perhaps that will be a moot point with demand slipping as well. Hopefully they can get planted timely. 2 years in a row of late springs as well as 20' being a big pp year as well. | |
