East of Broken Bow | Don't linger in a toxic situation. If they truly are toxic, they are probably going to string you along, as long as it is to their advantage. Seen it happen more than once. Neighbor even did that to my dad. They were older and had land right across the fence from what Dad owned. Got untold hours of free labor off of him with the promise that they'd 'make it right' someday. That day never came, and I learned from that not to spend my sweat and treasure on someone who only looks out for themselves.
I might add, don't limit yourself to ag only. Construction work involves operating similar machinery, and 'here' at least a good dozer or excavator guy gets probably close to double the wages of the average farm worker. | |
