Subject: Tonight's desert - low carb lime flavored panna cotta

Pittsburg, Kansas

This is good too. Picture is in pint jar. Half full so one cup serving of lime panna cotta topped with a few blueberries and chopped pecans.

My wife really likes using the pint canning jars with the plastic lids that are available for them. She can make up a full batch of home made low carb deserts like ice cream or panna cotta or French silk into these containers half full (half pint or one cup). This gives her the correct portion size (we only eat one each night) yet leaves room in the top portion of the jar to put toppings like no sugar whipped cream, some berries or some low carb nuts. With the plastic tops she can store them in the refrigerator and have them ready to open up, put the fresh toppings on, and serve it right in the jar. So like for the ice cream she has a 4 cup ice cream machine. That gives her 8 servings (half cup scoop) or enough for 4 nights for the two of us. So with the jar storage in the fridge or freezer she can make desert a couple different nights a week and have enough deserts ready to serve for all week. The individual pint jars with lids make that a fairly easy task for her.
