On the southern border most are not asked for any proof of vaccination to cross, and on northern most are, with a lot of people I have talked to they seem to feel that since Mexico never put in place any Covid restrictions for travel the border agents on US side are trying to be reciprocal, but since Canada at it's time had a bunch of restrictions for US citizens they are now trying to payback and not let Canadians in.
