Lower carb would definitely be good for kids too, but kids will be kids and a person has to come to some sort of compromise and not totally shut them off from "the dark side", LOL. Might have a "mutiny".
Not having it in the house is probably the best partial solution. If it is not in the fridge or on the shelf, it can't be eaten. Then at least the "temptations" and potentially falling off the wagon are only when eating out, or at least more so.
Coming up with good low carb recipes everyone likes will also help. Tonight we had grilled pork chops, olives and a cheese/egg souffle. The souffle took the place of a more traditional side like potatos would have been five years ago. Pretty quick and easy to make too in the oven.
