NCOhio | NH575, I assume I'm from the county north of you. We were signed up for one windmill. I wasn't too keen on having to farm around it till they moved it to a waterway. The opposition was amazing to me. They had all kinds of reasons against them, but to me the only valid ones were that they didn't like the looks of them and they weren't getting any money from them. The voting to let the Township decide if they could be built was what I didn't like. Of course 80% voted against them since less than 1% were getting money from them. This seems to be a restriction of individual property rights. I said they will be after the hog barns next, and it wasn't long till there was an attempt to have the same vote on hogbarns. Since that is a state law it didn't fly yet. | |
