Swaledale, IA
I will not be much help except to say that this is the way everything is going. The company I drive truck for now has the software for our trucks (2018 Freightliners) but my truck needed a new bunk heater and after it was installed it would not work until they got the newest subscription to the software. John Deere if I understand correctly it at least floating the idea of charging by the acre for some of their sprayer technology. It will continue until enough people stop using it and just say no. I would never personally put my books into any type of online software program. I realize that for some it is easier but I do not know if that makes it better.

If it is a good program and you like it the price is not outrageous. Talk to an accountant on what they would charge to do the same thing.
