| I should note that I don’t know for sure that the subscription based version of Quickbooks desktop (QBDT) will no longer allow you to access your books if you don’t renew your subscription. Maybe it will. I find it extremely difficult to get accurate info from Quickbooks on any issue. Heck. Maybe the version I have (Quickbooks 2021) is already that way and I will be a hostage when it expires in 2024?
It just makes sense to me that the only reason they would go to an annual subscription model on QBDT is to force an annual payment.
