Scribner, NE | Me too! Recovering now from re-attachment of three tendons and tears in two muscles, including 40 percent of the bicep. Had to wait three months after injury to get it repaired because I did not want to miss that much of my town job (teacher, now retired). Slept in a recliner for three months before surgery and two after, but now improved drastically. Muscles weak, needing rest and therapy wipes me out. However, I can again hold and drink a cup of coffee again with my dominant hand.
I am amazed at how many farmers I see at therapy in our smaller local hospital with shoulder work. Was told the sooner you get the repair the greater chance of success. Wear your sling in public. Many of us are friendly types that pat each other on the shoulder. Now I promise I will never do this again. | |
