All the new levelers have counter balance valves built into them. If you look at the case combine there are blocks on the base of the cylinders. They trap oil in the cylinders in the event a hose blows. It takes 1800 psi to "open" the cylinder to allow oil in or out. Hillco has had counter balance valves for 25+ years.
