Hillsboro, TN | (2) 2-lane state highway bridges across creeks are being redone within 5 miles of me. The first one (on U.S.41) was taken down to one lane at a time. The second (TN-127) was completely closed with only 30-45 day notice. It's rumored that once the second one is complete another bridge, within 5 miles, over I-24 will be closed for a rebuild. Another bridge on TN-127, within 3 miles, has had a reduced weight limit of 5 tons for over a year now and it sees quite a bit of truck traffic daily. I'd say, in this area, we're over due for some bridge work. | |
