Subject: RE: Best propane grill for the money

Leesburg, Ohio
We have had several brands over the years. Charbroil was ok, didn't last. Holland lasts forever (still have it) but you either like that style or don't. Wife likes it because it won't flare up. I don't like it because its slow, and its hard to get a good sear and crisp crust on anything with the indirect heat...I think everything tastes like its boiled instead of grilled.

We currently have a Blackstone flat top griddle, and we both love it! You can cook just about anything on it, it will sear a steak and get it crispy in the outside and leave it as pink as you want inside, or well done. It won't flare up, and its fairly fast getting up to temp. Our daughter and son-in-law has a four-burner. We have a three-burner version. A two-burner would have been plenty big enough for us.

Camp Chef is another brand that offers a quality flat top griddle. We considered that brand, but ended up getting a Blackstone because the local Lowes had the model we wanted in stock.

We have not used the Holland since we got the Blackstone. We would probably sell it if anyone is interested.
