NE Nebraska | I bought a used CWS air bar. It was on a 30’ head and was a two piece. I needed it in one 25’ piece. I also got mixed input about welding aluminum. Keep in mind I was dealing with straight tube and no wrinkles, but I made a clamp sleeve. I had about 16” of extra tube that I cut down one side to make it so I could slip over like a saddle. I carefully notched out two rectangular holes where the drop tubes attach. Three irrigation band clamps along with the drop tube clamps hold it together as one. It has worked well for three seasons. I also wonder why you couldn’t get an irrigation tube of the proper thickness and just use a holesaw to cut in the drop tube holes. It just seemed to me that the cost of a new AWS / CWS tube is too much. I’m not convinced it is rocket science.
