Make absolute certain that you get the teeth on the top shaft drive gears lined up correctly. Two gears face one way and the third faces the other way. Easy to get the third gear close but not be correct. It can go six ways and only one is right. Use a straight piece of 1/2 water pipe and lay it in the sprocket grooves to make sure you’ve got it.
