Windom, MN | I HATE selling stuff now. Ag stuff isn't so bad yet, but sold a couple cars recently. People think they're some sort of wheeler dealer, low ball offers then when I reject it they tell me it's junk anyway. If it's junk, why do you want it? I know the tires are bad, it's got 200,000 miles, and there's a tear in the seat, I've marked it down considerably already for those defects. Had a guy agree to buy a couch for $50. Comes to look, offers $10, I said no, and he gets upset. This guy is in my living room arguing with me, I just told him to leave and fortunately he did.
So yes, people have gotten crazier, but I think it's from everything they see on TV, social media, the internet, and from our political leaders. If the "influencers" can act this way and have a following, they think it's okay for them to act that way. Not sure we will ever get back to respecting each other, but it would be nice. | |
