I love the moisture sensors. I use irramax to watch moisture levels. I think it has 6 levels starting at 4 in and goes to 30 in. There is a level you set for critical moisture level and when your moisture level approaches that line you turn on water. I have netafim subsurface drip system with system tile with water gates set at 16 inches to hold water level.
