| The knife is pointing at the 4th node, the white area about 1/2" tall just above the knife is the 1st internode. The next darker line is the 5th node. Find the leaf coming from that node and you will know which leaf is your 5th leaf. Continue counting leaves that have full collars out and you'll know your growth stage.
