WNW Illinois, Henry Co | my wife suffered a stroke at age 51, which was 25 years ago already now. Make sure she does ALL the therapy and then some, cause you either use it or lose it. from what I have seen, a right handed person, with a stroke that affects the left side of body, (right side of brain) that person is very cautious, if the other side, they lose a lot of depth perception, which can be bad trying to drive for sure. Best of continued luck for the future. We had a brochure that give us a little insight into what to expect from here on out. the thing I remember the most was this "Your life has changed forever" in the book, only afterwards do you realize how much.
My wife says even today, "it could have been worse, could be dead" then just smiles and goes on. we did not get the shot soon enough so she is still wheelchair bound today, but at least not in a nursing facility.
Best of the future for you both.
Bob
