Sioux County, NWIA | For annual bale counts of that level, I would look at a later model baler. 569 or 560 Deere, 560 NH, 605N or Super N. I run NH 560 Specialty Crop balers myself, no intention of changing. Balers are well into the teens of thousands bale count, we are just to the point where repair costs are going to creep up. Up till now repair cost has been minimal. A few chains, pickup teeth, bearing or two. Did replace the PTOs last fall $$$$. I figure 3.5 GPH fuel. Net is around $.50 per turn. Baler depreciation is somewhere in the $1.50 area at this point. | |
