Illinois Heartland | Local Golf Cart dealer has done a 180 flip flop and is now pushing annoyingly hard on electric versions. A few years ago when we bought one from them, they pushed the gas ones hard and had all sorts of negative things to say about the electrics. Funny how they changed their tune and guess what…their entire rental fleet they haul around to all the farm shows including The Farm Progress Show and the Half Century of Progress Show are you guessed it - gas.
I know a guy who is a speed freak and hauls his electric golf cart around in his Fifth wheel Toy Hauler to the local dirt tracks like Eldora. He and his buddies race them in the camp grounds and he smokes the gassers every time. He’s got different batteries (Lithium?), AC motor and controller by Plum Quick.
