Subject: RE: RTK swerve

southern Minnesota
For the last 7 years i have used non john deere equipment running RTK. Here is what I have learned. Your spring auto steer will DIRECTLY LOOK BACK TO YOUR FALL TILLAGE ANGLE AND AGRESSIVENESS OF WHAT YOU DID BACK THEN. END OF STORY. AND YES I AM SHOUTING. IT IS JUST THE WAY IT WORKS. An angle of more than a couple of degrees the fall before will get ahold of any size planter and just raise total hell that the autosteer just cannot deal with. I finally figured that out last year and this year have had a great year with my outback equipment and an absolute joy to see the straight rows with near no swerving. So again I dought it is your equipment just go check the soil conditions you will probably figure out that the ripper or other tool last fall was run way to sharp of angle. Now if you are say strip till don't listen to what i just posted. CARRY ON........
