Matts, Ihose might be factory Cobra valve covers, as The early Cobra's used the little 260 and 289 smallblock engines, which is what would fit a 65 Falcon ranchero engine bay. They would not be original, but were a popular "dress up" item that many owners added. They were avalible over the counter at any Ford parts counter.

An original 65 ranchero with a factory V8 will have heavier drive line parts identified by the wheels being attached with 5 bolts. The 6 cylinder Ranchero's with lighter duty chassis parts had 4 bolts attaching the wheels.
