Had a real old 144A valve rigged to my ATV sprayer boom which was getting old and was sticking due to rust. So I had a new one purchased in a box full of goodies at an auction. Looks just like the picture below. So I put that on and went to spraying. After spraying for awhile, I noticed I did not have the pressure at the nozzles like I normally do and found the coil on the new valve getting hot. Bypassed the valve and had great pressure again. What could be causing the coil to get hot? It runs off a 12 battery(yellow top Optima), and we have used this system for many years. A short in the coil? How would I diagnose? Should I just purchase a new coil to see if the problem is solved?
