If you look at it from a safety perspective I've seen more accidents caused by people pulling boats and small enclosed trailers, but DOT seems to have a thing for anybody that hauls something that might be used for a purpose other than recreation. You can call it what you want, but I think its an expansive interpretation of the laws for no purpose other than to write more revenue producing tickets. I expect one of these days they will bring back the old "speed traps" to bring even more revenue in. | |
