Subject: RE: JD 8130 Pulling Planter (follow up)

We've been pulling a 16/31 for 5 yrs with an 8120. We had a red one and now a deere and they pulled about the same. With the splits up I usually shift up 2 or 3 gears and idle back with no problem at all in conventional till. When we switch to beans with 31 rows in the ground and running coulters in no-till, Ive never had to work below 6mph and can usually run close to 7 or even faster in the right conditions. There have been times where more power would be nice but I get along pretty good.
