Subject: JD 8130 Pulling Planter (follow up)

Mt. Pulaski, IL
Follow up from post below: Tractor pto hp was 202 so it was on the high side. No fuel delivery problem, no computer codes in the system, IVT transmission checks out ok. Waiting for response back from jd dtac.

Does the IVT transmission take that much hp from tractor? It seems to me a tractor with 202 pto hp should pull a 16 row planter with flying colors. Most I could get with JD 1790 16/32 with splitters up in conventional till, smooth flat ground, was 6.4.

Thanks again for all your responses to my question.
