That's what I've found too. 7 - 8 seasons on the same poly w/o holes, but the rivets are pulling through the back now. Could probably reuse, but would have to drill new holes in skid plate which was hard on drill bits last time I did it. Guessing 3500 - 4000 acres, on and off the head cart many times between mostly small fields.
