Probably me...I think I've told the story on here before. An old guy from Texas told me how they used to plow a whole section by starting a furrow around the outside, then they would take some old wheatland tractor, disconnect the steering & rig a long arm from the in-furrow wheel w/a disc on the end, to guide it. Get it started, jump off, & let her plow until she ran out of gas, find her in the morning & fuel her up again. They called them "blind n*ggers"-can't even say the word any more...once in a while one of them would jump the furrow, go off across country, taking out fences, messing up roads, or what ever got in the way.
