The farmer/enduser can do anything they wish. It is the person SELLING (and profiting from someone else's patented idea) an infringing product who is legally responsible.
In this particular situation, Kinze Manufacturing did the repsonsible thing a few years ago and sent a letter to all of their dealers informing them that this was patent infringement and they were not to do so. Dealers can not claim ignorance.
